Sarcoidosis

Sarcoidosis is an inflammatory condition that involves many organs of the body but primarily involves the lungs and lymph nodes. At Kateb Medical, we have extensive experience in the diagnosis and treatment of pulmonary sarcoidosis, employing advanced imaging and biopsy technology to make the diagnosis. Symptoms are often similar to those of other lung disorders, including shortness of breath, dry cough, chest discomfort, or weakness. Expert evaluation is therefore critical.

Treatment is aimed at minimizing inflammation and avoiding lung injury. Based on severity and organ involvement, we might employ corticosteroids, immunosuppressive therapy, or observe for spontaneous resolution in less severe conditions. Regular pulmonary function testing and imaging comprise our multidisciplinary approach for monitoring disease progression. Because sarcoidosis may mimic or present with other diseases such as pulmonary fibrosis, asbestosis, or lung nodules, precise diagnosis and careful follow-up are essential for the best possible outcomes.
